I'm not really familiar with technology, and I really want those pictures back! Windows 10 is absolute rubbish but apparently I had to have it as I bought a new laptop which came with W8 which is even more rubbishy than W10. Thank you for you help. RIGHT click the camera and see the import options. The hole you mentioned you would hook a headphone into - is the composite video jack - this is an analogue output and it allows you to hook you camcorder directly I use a third party program to edit my photos so, it turns out tht the photo app is totally useless and I will uninstall/delete it. I searched for options in the menu but found none.
The only way to use the method in the article is to go into auto play settings and set it to do nothing when you connect your camera. Thank you. Reply DiAnne Faust says: December 29, 2015 at 2:40 amThank you Steven, I finally called my Computer Manufacture and had them download my pictures from my camera. The camcorder has both a firewire (IEEE-1394) and an S-video connector. It "introduces" your camera to your computer to establish compatibility between the two. It seems windows 10 is always the asshole on the play ground and does not play nice.
